Options to register:

1) Register online now by clicking the appropriate link above.       [NEW] Parents are able to register children online for the Kids’ Run this year. The Kids’ Run remains FREE with a canned food donation and you will need to pay a nominal processing fee of $1 to $3 per person in order to register online. You can avoid this fee by choosing another of the registration methods listed below. Online registration closes Tuesday, November 23rd at 11:59 pm.     

      

 2) Print and mail Registration Form by clicking the appropriate link above. Submit completed form by mailing to the address above. Mail-in registrations must be postmarked by November 17th.     

        

3) Pick up race brochures at The Ridge Athletic Club, Museum of the Rockies, Bozeman Running Company, Schnee’s, Gallatin Valley Food Bank, and various other locations around Bozeman. Submit completed form by mailing to the address above on or before November 17th.     

      

 4) Register in person during Packet Pickup at the MSU Football Stadium Club Level (3rd floor) on Kagy Blvd from  Monday, November 22 to Wednesday, November 24 between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm. Stay a few minutes extra to check out the inaugural Event Expo.     

        

5) Race Day Registration at the Museum of the Rockies is available from 7:00 am to 8:30 am. Come early!  

 

Cost:  

5K,  Untimed 5K Fun Run  &  10K cost $20 before Thanksgiving Day. Race day registration costs $25. Make checks payable to: Big Sky Wind Drinkers (BSWD).
The Kids’ Run is FREE with a canned food donation brought to the event. Children 12 years and younger run 1K with the costumed turkeys! All children will receive a special prize from our sponsors! All children must be registered. On-line registration is available this year for the Kids’ Run.
 
Note: Children under 12 years are eligible to participate in any of the other three events with consent of, and while being accompanied by a guardian.
 
Prize Drawings:
Two chances to win a special prize drawing from our sponsors!   1) Register online. Everyone who does will be entered to win.   2) Refer your family & friends who have not run Huffing For Stuffing before! Everyone who refers at least two people to register who have not run with us before will be entered to win! If you haven’t run with us before – refer yourself! More newbie referrals means more of a chance to win! Winners will be announced during Awards Ceremony after the races.
 
Your Registration Fee for 5K, Untimed 5K Fun Run & 10K includes:
  • The satisfaction of participating in our fourth annual event to benefit the Gallatin Valley Food Bank! Community, family and fun! What better way to spend Thanksgiving morning? Thank you for helping us raise $47,100 for the Food Bank during our first three years!      

  • A terrific long-sleeve micro-fiber shirt for the first 2,000 people to register. Women’s fitted shirts and unisex shirts run true to size this year. Don’t assume shirts will be available by Thanksgiving – we’ve run out early every year. Register early!      

  • Access to our inaugural Event Expo at the MSU Football Stadium Club Level (3rd floor) during packet pickup. Enjoy browsing and sampling our sponsors’ fine products and services along with fun people watching!     

  • Runner’s Packet doubles as re-usable grocery bag from Rosauers with race number, timing chip and all kinds of fun inserts from our sponsors.     

  • Chip timing race results (net-time scoring). Results will be posted soon after races. Official results will be published in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle.      

  • Your choice of events to participate in: race in the 5K or 10K, participate in the (NEW) Untimed 5K Fun Run, or the Kids’ Run. Also, (NEW) Team Registration is available this year. Join up with your friends, family and co-workers to run as a team! At least 5 members per team. See the FAQ page for details.      

  • Water stations on the course. See race course maps (click here).     

  • Pre and post-race refreshments: warm drinks, fruit, muffins and tasty snacks. Enjoy the Bridger Creek Boys’ live performance and socialize in our warming tent.     

  • Raffle for lots of terrific prizes from our sponsors. Visit the Prize Table to see the list of winners and claim prizes.      

  • Prize for participants who “Smoke the Turkey” (male & female) in the 5K!     

  • Great hand-crafted pottery awards for winners! Expanded age group divisions again this year. See below for the list of divisions – 120 individual awards total! Also, Team awards for fastest in the 5K and 10K and team with the most members overall.     

  • American Medical Response EMTs on site at the Start/Finish Line and patrols along the courses.
Note: Untimed 5K Fun Run participants will line up at 9:15am at the back of the field behind the 5K runners as a courtesy to these participants who are racing the 5K.
 
No unregistered participants, dogs, headphones, roller blades, or bikes on the race course! Strollers are permitted to start at the back of the field. No refunds or transfers. It’s a fund-raiser!
 
Please thoroughly review the waiver of liability at the bottom of this page.  All participants must accept and sign this waiver of liability on the Registration Form in order participate in Huffing For Stuffing ‘10.

  • Athena (female: 150+ lbs; optional election for eligible participants), top 3

Note: Awards are non-duplicative (overall winners will not also win age-groups).

Event Participant Waiver Agreement and Release: By registering for the 2010 Huffing For Stuffing Thanksgiving Day Run and signing this waiver you agree, warrant and covenant as follows:  I know that participating in a road race is a potentially hazardous activity. I am in adequate physical, mental and medical condition to participate in this event. In consideration of acceptance of my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release, HFS event directors, BSWD, event sponsors, Montana State University, Museum of the Rockies, Race Volunteers, Race Officials, Perfect Timing, State of Montana, Gallatin County, City of Bozeman and all persons & organizations affiliated with the Huffing For Stuffing Thanksgiving Day Run from any and all liability arising from illness, injuries, damages and even death I may suffer as a result of my participating in this event. I grant permission for all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, videos and recordings of this event for any legitimate purpose. I understand that entry fees are non-refundable. I understand that dogs, headphones, bikes and rollerblades are not permitted on the event course. I have read and agree to abide by the conditions of this waiver.
