Post Race Summary: 11/27/08

Thank you for coming out to join us on what a beautiful Thanksgiving morning. The Race Committee and Wind Drinkers are truly moved by the tremendous support from the Gallatin Valley community. Even we underestimated the magnitude of runners and community support to make the 2nd annual running of Huffing For Stuffing the success that it was. With your help, we are proud to have donated $21,600 to the Gallatin Valley Food Bank during a time when their annual demand has increased over 40%! Thank you so much!

Thank you to our 29 generous sponsors who contributed financial support and invaluable services. Thank you to the 80 volunteers who arrived before sunrise and braved the cold weather. Thank you to the 1,707 registered participants who came forth to support our cause and make history in the largest run/walk event in Bozeman’s history.

2,600 pounds of non-perishable food were collected in conjunction with The Ridge Athletic Club / Heebs East Main Grocery / Huffing For Stuffing food drive.

We hope to appeal to entire families and every corner of the community. Please email us any feedback and suggestions you have about how we can improve Huffing For Stuffing in the future. Thank you so much for supporting our event and our beneficiary – the Gallatin Valley Food Bank. We hope to see you in 2009! Let’s keep this Gallatin Valley Thanksgiving tradition going strong!

Warm regards,
Huffing For Stuffing Race Committee
